STRETCHING ROUTINE AND WARM UP ROUTINE FOR GYMNASTICS AND CHEER – How to Stretch and Stretches


So today I want to show you my stretching or warm up routine I’ve been doing this routine for about 25 years and I definitely attribute it to my longevity and being able to enjoy this sport and also to have a lower number of injuries throughout the years. Some of the movements might be ballistic or bouncing movements But I know my body and what it takes to warm it up You may want to be careful with these and find out what works best for you. So I’m going to start off with some standing stretches warming up mostly the upper body and then I’m going to do some sitting down stretches warming up mostly my lower body. I’m going to start with about 25 jumping jacks and 25 straight jumps. So that’s pretty much it sometimes I add splits or bridges to my routine but not all the time, but feel free to include them if you want.
